A Statement of the Mission and Purpose of the Danielsville United Methodist Church

The Danielsville United Methodist Church is a vital part of the Christian Church in the world.
The Christian Church is a Community of all true believers under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. She is the redeemed and redeeming fellowship in which the Word of God is preached by persons divinely called, and the Holy Sacraments of Baptism and Lord's Supper are duly administered according to Jesus Christ's own appointment. Under the discipline and ministry of the Holy Spirit the Church seeks to provide for the maintenance of worship, the edification and spiritual growth of believers, and the redemption of the world.
The United Methodist Church is a vital part of the church universal, which is one body in Christ. The United Methodist Church acknowledges that all persons are of sacred worth. All persons without regard to race, color, national or ethnic origin, status, or economic condition, shall be eligible to attend its services, participate in its programs and ministries and be received into its membership by Confession and Profession of the Christian Faith and the Holy Rite of Baptism.
We hold in common with all Christians a faith in the mystery of salvation in and through Jesus Christ and his Gospel and the Covenant of Grace which he divinely instituted by his redemptive sufferings and death on the Cross and his historic resurrection.
We also share in the Christian belief that God's redemptive love is realized in human life by the activity of the Holy Spirit, both in personal experience and in the Community of Believers.
