Calvin Ward, Jr., PastorBorn: 1929 in Miami Fla. Parents: Calvin Reese Ward, Sr. and Anne Elizabeth (McGhee) Ward; raised in Macon, Georgia; graduated from Lanier High School for Boys, June 1948.
I received my call to the Christian Ministry while I was a junior in high school. Upon graduation I began preparation for the Christian ministry. I received my Local Preacher's License, September 3, 1948, and I began my formal education for the ministry that fall at Reinhardt College. Received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Georgia State University, June 1962 and Bachelor of Divinity Degree from Chandler School of Theology, Emory University, 1965. Ordinations: I was ordained Deacon in 1962 and ordained Elder in 1965 into the full-time ministry of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. Served thirty-five full-time years in the pastoral ministry of the North Georgia Conference and was retired in 1997 from full-time service. I have continued to pastor part time since my retirement, and I am presently serving as pastor of the Danielsville UMC of Danielsville United Methodist Church, Danielsville Georgia.
